With Pwani Celebrity Awards nominee list already out,last year’s winner in the Male Artiste of the Year Benso has come out to criticize the awards organizers, claiming they are out to dupe the public at the expense of artistes.
Speaking to Pili Pili FM’s, Donde Samora, Benso revealed that last year, the winners were made to believe that they would be awarded not just money, but also sponsorship when shooting their videos and marketing.
“Last year we were promised a lot of things and none was delivered. Personally, when I presented my script and budget for a video whose bill they had promised to take care of I was shocked when one of the lead organizers told me to my face that they were not going to do so,” he alleges.
Speaking later to NEWSPOT254 via phone, Benso added that the nomination process was “shady” further claiming that some nominees were added after the pothole had been closed.
