Adelle pushes for more tech-savvy girls

TODAY, Kiss FM radio presenter Adelle Onyago will be meeting influential female bloggers to chart the way forward in creating a bigger army of more tech savvy women.
She told NEWSPOT254, "I'm working towards bridging the gender gap when it comes to digital literacy in Africa. Since I'm very passionate about uplifting women, it irks me that women are being left far behind when it comes to being online and computer literacy."
Adelle continued, "So together with Intel, we've set up computer training camps across Kenya in all counties. They not only train women on computer and internet knowledge, but also expose them to the option of finding jobs on line. So far we have trained 15,00 0 women but our goal is to train five million women and young girls by 2016."
The music diva will be hosting "connected" ladies to join the conversation to "see how best we can ensure that by 2016, this gender gap is bridged."
