When you visit Machakos county today,
you will note a difference from any other county in the country.You will notice that you are in a different government immediately you divert the Mombasa road at Makutano 'Chumvi'. Good looking and a welcoming environment with flowers, sitting bays, free and clean toilets and to ensure your security a police patrol vehicle parked by the road side.
Now
get to the county and realize the
difference! The town is very welcoming you will want to spend some
days there. The peoples park kills it all, not forgetting the more than
100 ambulance vehicles in the county. Wait for the night to find
you there and you will know what I mean. Very beautiful city with
flood lights everywhere.
All said and done Machakos county being
this beautiful, the shortcomings are becoming too many to believe
that all this things are in Machakos. The county workers are
complaining they have not been paid for the last more than three
months, the other day health workers NHIF,NSSF savings were going
into somebody's pocket until they went on strike.
The Deputy Governor and the Governor
are not reading on the same book with the Deputy Governor complaining
over mishandling of public funds by the county government.
That's just a few among many happenings
in Machakos, I don't want to be a judge, Mutua started well with good
development agendas, now, it seems to be some 'Sinema' (movie)
not knowing who to believe, Mutua or his deputy Bernard Kiala!!!!!
