Parents asked to play active role in children academics

Education CS Jacob Kaimenyi has called on parents to play a more active role in their children academic role to curb cases of indiscipline in schools.

This comes after students from Kirinyanga were arrested with drugs and alcohol in a bus they hired to Nairobi after closing schools.

“I want to appeal to the parents. Me being one of them, Let us not be as described as absentee parents, particularly fathers”,Kaimenyi said.


Speaking during Mount Kenya University graduation ceremony Kaimenyi has also embraced universities in the country to embrace ICT.

Kaimenyi also called on the students who graduated to invest in the society instead of using their hard got money in vices like alcohol.
