Trump hopes to ‘run against’ Kanye West in presidential race

Donald Trump has welcomed Kanye West’s announcement he will run for president of the US in 2020.
He told Rolling Stone: “He’s actually a different kind of person than people think. He’s a nice guy... I hope to run against him someday.”
Trump — whose political rivals the Democrats have welcomed Kanye’s
announcement — revealed he was watching the MTV Video Music Awards,
and suggested he himself inspired the idea.
Kanye dropped the huge bombshell as he took to the stage at the VMAs to accept his Michael Jackson Video Vanguard prize.
He said: “It’s about ideas, bro. New ideas. People with ideas. People who believe in truth. And yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president! (sic)”
