FOUR-time Grammy Award nominee American Soul and R&B singer, Freddie Jackson (left), has been confirmed to perform in Nairobi next month.
Touted as the biggest Soul concert to have ever been held in Kenya, the show is slated for October 17 at the Carnivore Grounds.
The 58-year-old is famed for his chart topping hit songs such as You Are My Lady, Rock Me Tonight (For Old Times Sake), He’ll Never Love You (Like I Do), Have You Ever Loved Somebody, Jam Tonight and I Don’t Want to Lose Your Love.
In August last year, he released the single, Love and Satisfaction, on the Climax Entertainment label.
Jackson’s musical journey began in 1985 when he penned a recording deal with
Capitol Records. His first album, Rock Me Tonight, spent six straight weeks at the top of the R&B charts. He won the Favorite Soul/R&B Single award fro the song Nice ‘N’ Slow at the 1988 American Music Award.
