He went ahead and apologized to the community and offered a goat to their council of elders for the rabble-rousing remarks. But he insisted that the apology was to the Luo community but not Raila.
“I have a constitutional right to criticize Raila Odinga, and I have absolutely no reasons to apologize. We must distinguish between Raila Odinga and not the Luo nation” retorted Ngunyi.
Mutahi’s file on hate speech is expected to be handed over to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) by NCIC as soon as possible.
