African leaders cautioned against imposing themselves to people

President Uhuru Kenyatta has cautioned African leaders against imposing themselves on their people.

Addressing the Ugandan parliament the president said leaders must be subjected to will of their citizen through the ballot.

Uhuru also asked the opposition to support the elected govt and be loyal to the effectiveness of the government and even as it opposes to policies it should give defferent remedies.

This is after the biggest football betting company in the country signed a deal with the premier league body .

SportPesa has signed the 4 years deal with the KPL after the previous contract with Tusker signed in 2013 expired.

Bangladesh Blogger stabbed to death

A Bangladeshi blogger known for his atheist views Niloy Neel has been hacked to death by a gang armed with machetes in the capital Dhaka, police say.

Niloy Neel was attacked at his home in the city's Goran area.

He is the fourth secularist blogger to have been killed this year by suspected Islamist militants in Bangladesh.

Parents asked to play active role in children academics

Education CS Jacob Kaimenyi has called on parents to play a more active role in their children academic role to curb cases of indiscipline in schools.

This comes after students from Kirinyanga were arrested with drugs and alcohol in a bus they hired to Nairobi after closing schools.

“I want to appeal to the parents. Me being one of them, Let us not be as described as absentee parents, particularly fathers”,Kaimenyi said.

Over 100 arrested for lacking toilets in Meru

Over 100 people in Meru county have been arrested for lacking toilets in their homesteads.

The over hundred people were arrested during a crackdown of people without toilets in the Imenti Central of the county.

Most youth don't have I.Ds and Voters cards, Mutula Jnr

Makueni senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr has reiterated that a big percentage of Ukambani people and mostly the youths have no I.D cards and voters cards.

Mutula has therefore urged leaders from the region to encourage ans make sure youths from their respective areas to register as voter in preparation of the 2017 General elections.

Kalonzo calls for unity among Kamba community

A united nation can not be reached if a community is not united. A united community leads to the unity of the nation.

Man kills girlfriend, hides her boy under bed

Police in Bomet have launched a man hunt for a middle aged man who allegedly killed his girlfriend at Kiota village and hid her body under his bed.

Area chief Stanley Toite says that neighbors broke into the man house following a foul smell that came out of the house just to find the woman with a stub wound.

The suspected man is on the run while the body of the woman was taken to Longisa district hospital.

Three Stephjoy students to face murder charges

Three students of the eleven arrested following the burning down of a dormitory at the Stephjoy Boys Secondary schools are now facing murder charges.

The School in Kiambu county was set on fire an incident that caused the death of three student leaving several others injured.

The eleven appeared before Limuru court and three were found to have a case to answer as police identified them as prime suspects in the dormitory inferno.

The eight others have been released while the case of the three have been moved to the high court.

They will answer to the charges of murder after they undergo a medical check up to know their mental status.

Man molest his children for three years in Ruiru

A 50 years old man from Ruiru has gone missing after allegedly defiling and sodomizing his seven children for three years.

The children are now nursing serious injuries on their gentiles after they were allegedly defiled and sodomized by their father who is supposed to be protecting them.

According to their mother the children aged 2 and 15 have been suffering in silence for the three years as no one of them has ever reported to her about the uncouth act.

“When I got my last born, my husband beat me and fled with my first born son aged 15, they went to Kangari, spend the night their to come in the morning” the mother says.

The ordeal came into light after their grandmother Salvin Wanjiru said she noticed her grandchildren were limping and passing urine on themselves.

The children have been taken to hospital for medical check up.

First Lady take Beyond Zero to Bomet

First Lady Margaret Kenyatta has launched the Beyond Zero mobile clinic in Bomet county in a colorful event at Bomet Green Stadium.
 
The event which was attended by the Bomet County Governor Isaac Rutto has seen the county be the 31st county in the country which have so far benefited from the programme.

Speaking during the ceremony the first Lady has said that the mobile clinic will help in reducing maternal deaths in the country.

“We will also eliminate the instances of mother to child transmission of the HIV virus” Margaret said.

County Governor Isaac Rutto has also applauded the First Lady for her tireless efforts in the fight against maternal deaths.

“We should not allow mothers to die while bringing life, its unbelievable”, Rutto said.

Embu leaders fight in front of Ruto

Deputy president William Ruto on Monady evening came face to face with the wrangles facing Embu county leaders when the leader engaged in a war of words in front of him when he toured the county.

Ruto witnessed the war of words between Embu county Governor Martin Wambora and those opposing the governor led by senator Leny Kivuti and Runyenjes MP Cecile Barire.

Either the Deputy president took the chance to calm the leaders and also asked them to put aside their differences and serve those who put them to power.

“There will be examinations in 2017, and those who will not have performed will fail and go home... leader from this area should work to bring the people of this county together”, Ruto reiterated.

Either Wambora did not hide his anger and used the stage to ask his opponents to wait for 2017 to challenge him.

“You will find Wambora in the ballot 2017 you like it or not, you will not get me out before 2017”, Wambora said.
