Sh100,000 cash bribe divides FKF North Western branch

A near scuffle ensued in Bungoma last Friday when officials from the North Western branch clashed over Sh100,000 which was donated by a candidate seeking the federation’s top position during the November 13 polls.
The near fight started when one of the senior branch officials raised an alarm over the money
sent to the branch to be shared among four sub branches. The official claimed that he was dismayed that a senior official who received the cash had not told members of the developments and demanded that the cash be released and shared in the open. The senior official who was in procession of the cash tried to defend himself that the money was a personal donation meant for his campaigns but later gave in to the pressure and shared it.

Arsene Wenger to divorce wife Annie

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger (65) has separated from his wife, Annie
Brosterhous (59). The couple has an 18-year-old daughter.
It was claimed by The Sun that Wenger and partner Annie had a ‘separation of bodies’ judgement issued by a judge in Paris, meaning that they are free to see other people. Wenger is still expected to support Annie financially, The Sun reported.
A source told the newspaper: “They have divided up their assets and agreed a financial package to separate. They have not been happy for a while, and they decided this was the best course of action to take.”
A few weeks before the wedding in 2010, it was reported that Wenger had become close to the then 39-year-old French rapper,  Sonia Tatar.

Gor Mahia Wrap Up Title Defence In Style

Kenya Premier League (KPL) giants Gor Mahia stunned  Sony Sugar by a solitary goal to lift the title in a clash encounter played at the Nyayo National Stadium on Wednesday, September 16, 2016.
Innocent Wafula scored the only goal  in the 37th minute to ensure K’Ogalo wins the league for three straight years in row. The match started on high pace with both teams pushing for an early goal.

Manchester United edges near to champions league participation


Manchester United new signing Memphis Depay scored twice to inspire his side to victory over Club Brugge in their Champions League play-off.
 
Brugge took a surprise first-leg lead through Michael Carrick's own goal.
But Depay drove in a low strike and brilliantly cut inside and curled in a 25-yard shot to put United ahead.

Ulinzi Stars captain Evans Amwoka has said the soldiers’ have to work extra hard in a bid to successfully defend Military Games title in Uganda.

Goals from Amwoka, John Makwata and Kevin Amwayi gave the soldiers their first win in the tournament against Burundi on Tuesday after a barren draw against Rwanda’s APR in the opening fixture.

Gor cry out for sponsors

Gor Mahia coach is calling on donors to come out and sponsor Gor Mahia to help get them out of the financial nightmare they are currently going through.
Natall said this after the club arrived at the country from Tanzania where thy were participating in the Cecafa Kangame cup.

Gor were second in the tournament after loosing at the finals to home team Azam FC despite Gor having the upper hand of winning the match.

“We are calling for any sponsor to sponsor the club, because we have no sponsor for the last 16 months I believe..” Natall said.

SportPesa to sponsor KPL

The Kenya Premier League is now changing its name from Tusker Premier League to SportPesa Premier Legue.

This is after the biggest football betting company in the country signed a deal with the premier league body .

SportPesa has signed the 4 years deal with the KPL after the previous contract with Tusker signed in 2013 expired.
