Lawyers, Activist pay president unbooked visit

Lawyers and Human Rights activist matched to the office of the president and delivered a letter seeking the sacking of Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery.
The lawyers demand the sacking of Nkaissery following the increased extra judicial killings in the country.


The exercise happened after the lawyers and the human rights groups held demonstration in various parts of the country protesting the killing of Lawyer Willie Kimani, his client and driver who were executed last week.
Speaking to journalists Law Society of Kenya president Isaac Okero condemned the act saying that the government should carry out investigations and prosecute those involved in the killing.
“The people who govern must obey the constitution in the size that law and order, security is responsibility given to the government” Isaac said.
This comes a day after Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet named police officers suspected to be involved in the murder of the lawyer and two other people.
