What a blow for CandynCandy Records CEO Joe Kariuki

CandynCandy Records is in hot soup. This comes after the release of Baby Madaha’s explicit video track. Our sources tell us that Madaha has been axed out of Tanzania and is back to her motherland, Mozambique. But she wasn’t the only one to get the cold shoulder. CandynCandy CEO Joe Kariuki has also been restricted from carrying out any production in TZ for fear they will be of such derogatory nature.

Secret wedding? Only Usher

Usher is officially off the market. The 36-year-old showed off a flashy new wedding band after secretly tying the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Grace Miguel.
The ring was on full display on Miguel’s Instagram page last week, sharing snaps from their honeymoon in Cuba. The couple has yet to speak publicly about their nuptials, but another sources confirmed that the newly weds opted to buck their original wedding plans and cut the guest list significantly for a more, intimate affair.

Michelle Obama to appear in a Disney cartoon

First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama is going to be animated for an upcoming episode of Doc McStuffins on Disney channel. Who would have thought the First Lady would cameo in a cartoon? Michelle will be starring as herself in an episode dabbed Doc McStuffins Goes to Washington, which will be aired on October 5. In the episode, Michelle gives characters of the show an exclusive tour of the White House. The episode runs on Child Health Day
and a section of it will promote the “Let’s Move” initiative,
which she launched in 2010.

The petitioner surrendered all his used, unused and half-used deodorant sprays, perfume sticks and roll-ons, anti-perspirants, aftershaves, body washes, shampoos, and hair gels to the court, and demanded a laboratory test of the products and narcotics test of the brand managers of Axe.

Famous Nairobi woman threatens to sue salon for bad hairstyle

A middle-aged woman-a big name in real estate and hospitality business is rumoured to be threatening to sue a city-based high-class beauty parlour that promised her ‘dream hair like no one else around’ but ended up messing her head.
The mogul says she shelled out over Sh320,000 to a clinic cum hair salon that promised to “restore her thinning hair and feminine confidence” — but the whole saloon business left her disappointed and partially bald.
According to a Facebook post by one of her close confidants, the woman is said to have complained that she did not get value for her hard-earned money and felt the salon “fraudulently and through misrepresentation and deceptive business practices conned her.”

AMERICAN ACT SIGNED FOR JAMESON LIVE PARTY

LAST year 2 Chains brought the house down during the annual Jameson Live Party. This December, American artiste B.o.B (Bobby Ray Simmons) who goes by the street moniker B.o.B has been signed as the headlining act.
B.o.B who just released his latest album Psycadelik Thoughtz stated that he is
looking forward to touching down in Kenya and headlining this year's party, on
his official Facebook page.
He wrote, "Hey Kenya! Looking forward to Coming to Nairobi for the biggest #JamesonLiveKE 2015 'party on December 12, Ngong Racecourse. See you then."
The Atlanta -raised-artiste was introduced to the world with the much praised mixtape Cloud 9. He has since travelled worldwide and top ped the charts with breakout hits Airplanes and Nothing On You featuring Bruno Mars. His recent
smash hits So Good and Headband have pushed him further into mainstream success.
Leading up to the party, a series of nights will be hosted by Jameson across the city.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday October 30, and will be available to strictly over 18s only.

Mziki Trak software to benefit artistes

KENYAN artistes may benefit from increased royalties as a new platform that detects when a song is played enters the market.
Mziki Trak, is an audio logging software which is able to detect when a song or advert is played, how many times it's played borh on radio or television. It also gives additional reports on the specific region where the song has been played from.
According to the software developers, Kaki Gondi, JamesMantu and David Sinei, Mziki Trak is aimed at bringing about more transparency when paying
out royalties to artistes.
"I have heard that Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) has a similar platform in place. However, as a registered member of MCSK, I do not have access to their software," says Gondi, the head of Mziki Trak,
"So for starters, we are giving free access of the software to artistes, Currently artists can register for it for free on www.mzikitrak.com this will be different
in that it' will give transparency to the whole process of music plays. This will in turn empower artists to re-invest in their craft which in turn improves the quality of the Kenyan music & entertainment industry."
